Project Lead
Candidates for Project Lead must have experience with project management methodology and practices. The Project lead will assist in developing, maintaining and enhancing current and re-engineering projects for our clients and therefore must be able to communicate at both a business and a technical level with clients, project team members, and senior management. The Project lead will also serve as a representative of Global IQX and our clients within the insurance industry. The Professional Services Team is responsible for understanding technical requirements, architecture platforms and design implementations.
Duties will include:
- Must understand Global IQX products and services and commit to a high degree of service to our customers.
- responsible for solidifying the insurance practice, preparing customer proposals, project plans, and resource assignments.
- Work with the Director on the successful delivery of Global IQX projects to clients.
- Collaborate with the Director to Develop and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs) for projects.
- Ensure all contractual paperwork is signed/countersigned with a reasonable turnaround time.
- Assist in project planning, assessing resource requirements, managing client relations, managing and supervising the execution of project tasks.
- Ensure on-time/on-budget delivery of project commitments.
- Participate in client meetings and high-level requirements gathering during the Inception phase of a project
- Travel to manage projects on-site.
Qualifications:
- University degree in an applicable field.
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling methods and tools.
- A minimum of five years experience with project management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project and other standard office automation applications.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Known as a team player, with proven ability to build and lead high performance teams.
Additional Assets
- Accreditation under the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- MBA
- Knowledge of Java, EJB, J2EE, XML, OOA&D.
