Global IQX Announces Newest Version of ConnectInsure® – HIX, Focused on Health Insurance Exchange Opportunities

Company extends their vision for enhancing its ConnectInsure® software platform to support individual state Health Insurance Exchanges

Ottawa, ON – January 25, 2011 – Global IQX Inc. a leading software provider in business automation and business process management for the North American employee benefits industry, today announced the availability of an enhanced version of their ConnectInsure® product that simplifies integration of its new business acquisition capabilities within a broad end-to-end platform for supporting the individual exchange strategies adopted by each state.

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) States have until January 1st of 2014 to go live with their individual health exchange deployments.  After a January 1st, 2013 readiness deadline, each State will receive grants from the federal government to support the goals and objectives of their individual exchanges.  Currently, there are four states who have such exchanges in place or close to deployment. Global IQX is working with several strategic service provider partners to support those and others that are seeking to finalize their comprehensive strategies.

With the targets of Health Insurance Exchanges being both individuals and small businesses (i.e., groups of less than 100 employees), the production-proven capabilities of Global IQX’s ConnectInsure® software platform support everything from determining eligibility to quoting and rating to enrollment and the various reporting elements that will be required by each state.

Numerous insurance companies have already chosen Global IQX as the best scalable solution to support their company’s vision of new business acquisition for their insurance business.  “Companies choose to work with Global IQX because we have a very solid and compelling technology platform with a proven track record of deploying sales and underwriting systems in the group benefits industry,” said Mike de Waal, President of Global IQX.

According to de Waal, “Health Insurance Exchanges are nothing new to Global IQX.  For over a decade, we have supported a Single Entry Multi-Company platform for all employee benefit products using ConnectInsure® SEMCI technology.  ConnectInsure® was the first multi-carrier quoting and rating platform for brokers and insurance companies supporting the sale of all health insurance and other employee benefit products.”

ConnectInsure® fully automates end-to-end quoting, proposal generation, and enrollment processes while providing permission-based hierarchies to maximize service and control with the ability to give different views and functionality for the respective audience.

Adds de Waal, “Our ConnectInsure® Système allows insurance companies and distribution channels alike to streamline and automate workflow associated with the sales process on behalf of both individuals and small groups. The ConnectInsure® HIX platform includes a production-proven Calculation Engine that quotes and rates all insurance products and various optional plans with or without experience history. Given our expertise in supporting insurance exchanges and insurance companies, it is no wonder that many of the world’s most respected service providers are looking to position our capabilities within their total value proposition to the various states. We think we are well placed to be part of the Insurance Exchange solution. ”
