After a successful 2020, we look forward to what the future brings.
Becoming a Remote Workforce
This year, the adaptability of organizations of all sizes was put to the test by the pandemic. Leaning on our robust Business Continuity Plan, the IQX team was successful in its transition to remote work. Keeping the health of employees the top priority, the team maintained continued support for clients and ensured new enhancements and functionality were deployed on time.
Like many companies, Global IQX had to confront the challenge of translating our corporate culture to an online format. To support teambuilding while having fun, some of the activities we’ve built into our Zoom meetings that any team could easily incorporate include:
- Costume contests, dress-up formal Fridays, holiday themes, ‘80s, etc.
- Games such as trivia, truth or lie, sharing bucket lists, etc.
- Group stretching
- Contests to see who can come up with the best Zoom background
- Fundraising for the local hospital and food bank
Global IQX has continued to build its all-star team over the last year and we are looking to add even more members to the team.
The Spirit of Giving
To support their communities during the pandemic, IQXers have donated more than $7,500 so far to local charities. With corporate matching, it is $15,000. The funds have been sent to the Oregon Food Bank, Daily Bread Food Bank of Toronto, Ottawa Food Bank, and the Ottawa Hospital.
Over the holidays, Global IQX made additional donations to charities and non-profits such as The Coral Project, an organization dedicated to the preservation of the world’s coral reefs and the ecosystems they support.
Industry Recognition
We are extremely proud of our talented team’s achievements over the past year. We are pleased to report these efforts are being recognized across various industry publications, and we are receiving attention from more prospects than ever as carriers look to transform their sales and underwriting processes.
- In 2020, Global IQX was recognized by Novarica, a research and strategic advisory firm, as a “dominant provider” of new business and underwriting systems for U.S. Life/Health/Annuity insurers in their 2020 Market Navigator report.
- Global IQX was nominated and officially named one of 2020’s Top 10 Underwriting Solution Companies in the December 2020 issue of Insurance CIO Outlook. Insurance CIO Outlook is a “print-based platform where CIOs, IT VPs, CTOs and other decision-makers share their insights and perspectives on the insurance industry”. A digital version of the December issue can be accessed here.
- Global IQX also received recognition as an employee benefits “Software Company to Watch” in “Emerging Technology and Data Solutions Threaten the Traditional Underwriting Model”, a report published by Morgan Partners, a fintech investment firm.
Among the trends revealed in the infographic, the authors identified that the number of premiums underwritten and sold using artificial intelligence will continue to rise as insurers increase their IT budgets and continue to invest in the technology.
IQX Platform Updates and Roadmap
The IQX Platform has grown substantially with the addition of an AI Recommendation Engine and some other new features. Our team is also supporting more clients as they migrate their IQX deployment to the cloud, enabling them to benefit from future enhancements as they are released.
In September and October, Global IQX held virtual Client Advisory Board meetings where we received excellent feedback from clients on our R&D roadmap. In line with industry trends, Global IQX’s roadmap consists of several AI and machine learning initiatives that we are excited to reveal over the course of the next twelve months.
Some of the recent enhancements to the IQX Platform include:
- Predictive Analytics for New Plan Design (the latest from IQX’s AI Recommendation Engine)
