Web portals are evolving to meet the needs of employee benefits advisers, Phil Albinus, a top journalist, writes in his Tumblr blog.
Albinus quotes Global IQX’s Mike de Waal, who says that advisers are asking for web portals that enroll employees into healthcare plans and delivery options for vision, dental, wellness and other benefits.
De Waal is seeing an uptick in the use of AI to help onboard new employees so that insurers, HR and employees do not have to rekey information.
“What insurance companies are asking us to do on behalf of their brokers is streamline the whole group insurance process from quote to enrollment,” he tells Albinus.
